Michelle Whitehead
Michelle was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a solicitor on 9 April 2010, after achieving First Class Honours in English and Law. She commenced her legal career in Camden, gaining experience in wills and estates, as well as contracts and small business matters.
In 2012, Michelle completed a Master of Laws majoring in Alternative Dispute Resolution and qualified as a mediator. She went on to spend over a decade building an online legal practice supporting small business owners, entrepreneurs and allied health practitioners with a focus on contracts, intellectual property and practical risk management.
Michelle fell in love with South West Rocks when she holidayed here as a teenager and was delighted to move to the area with her family in 2018. Since joining Sheridan Legal in April 2025, Michelle has focused primarily on wills and estates, assisting clients with succession planning, probate applications and the administration of deceased estates. She works closely with executors and families to guide them through the estate process with clarity and care, particularly during what is often a difficult and uncertain time. She also continues to assist with contracts, small business matters and intellectual property where required.
Michelle is known for her clear, practical approach and her ability to explain complex legal issues in plain English. She works with clients to create understanding around their options and, where possible, to resolve matters through negotiated, sensible outcomes that avoid unnecessary conflict.
Michelle works primarily from home and is available for remote appointments, as well as in person at our South West Rocks and Kempsey offices. When she is not working, you will find her reading or enjoying the beach.
